On behalf of the local planning committee, we have the pleasure to invite you to the Fifth International Calicivirus Conference that will be held in Beijing, China from October 12 to 15, 2013.
The meeting will last for four days, starting on Saturday (Oct 12) and concluding on the next Tuesday (Oct 15). We will have a similar agenda as that of the last meeting, which will include a keynote lecture and a number of State-of-the-Art presentations on variable human and animal calicivirus topics such as: virology and structure, pathogenesis and host susceptibility, diagnosis and typing, surveillance and epidemiology, environmental and food contamination, and prevention and intervention. Oral and poster presentations under each topic will be arranged following the keynote and State-of-the-Art presentations.
As a modern metropolis with a history of more than 3000 years and the host of the 2008 Olympics, Beijing is the capital and political center of China. The city renowned for its opulent palaces, temples, gardens, tombs, walls and gates, and its art treasures and universities have made it a center of culture and art in China. Few cities in the world have been the political and cultural center of an area as immense for so long. October is the best time of year to visit Beijing.
We encourage you to participate in this conference and submit abstracts of your research work. Please also pass the information of this meeting to your colleagues who may not aware of this meeting.
We look forward to meeting you in Beijing!
